Dear Sirs

I am writing to express my deep concern and indignation regarding the recent association of your brand, Sagres, with the promotion of bullfights in Lisbon. Sagres (a brand owned by the Heineken group) has signed a contract with the company that operates the Campo Pequeno bullring in Lisbon, resulting in the naming of the bullring (Sagres - Campo Pequeno).

Despite the building host other shows, unfortunately, it continues to promote cruel and bloody bullfights.

It is unacceptable that in 2023 such a reputable brand could be associated with an obsolete show of great cruelty against animals, which is highly contested in Portugal. I believe that responsible brands have the power to make a positive impact on society by supporting causes that promote compassion and respect for all living beings. By severing ties with the bullfighting industry, Sagres and Heineken can contribute to the ongoing efforts to end animal cruelty and violence.

For this reason, I want to make it clear that I will not consume any beer from the Heineken Group as long as this situation continues.
